#127- POWERHOUSE = ME :)

During this L.A. Fashion Market Week, I had fun, as always.

*POWERHOUSE*

On the 15th at the fashion show at California Market Center (CMC), I had a chance to chat with my friends (Kimberly and Erika). Most of my work time, I am always alone, so it was fun for an hour with my friends.

Kimberly and Erika’s client exhibited at the Focus show at CMC. I can’t write details about it in this blog, because my article is not on the paper (Senken-newspaper) yet, but I can say, they (http://www.pureconsultinginfo.com/index.php) always have wonderful clients.

By the way, when Barbara (who is a co-owner of D&A show at New Mart) introduced me to her clients at D&A, she said to them, “Yoko is a POWERHOUSE!”. ha ha ha…! Thanks to Barbara!

A couple of years ago, Barbara invited me to D&A Tokyo show and we flew to Tokyo, Japan from Los Angeles together and she saw my power in Japan (differences between quiet & humble Japanese women and me)…since then, she thinks, I am a powerhouse (and Senken-newspaper has big influence for Japanese fashion market).

*FIREBALL*

About 10 years ago, PR person of ASR Trade Show introduced me to her clients, she said to them, “Yoko is a FIREBALL !”… oh…ha ha ha!

*PARTY ANIMAL + MADAM YOKO*

In my 20’s-30 something, I had many friends and parties, so many friends called me, “You are a PARTY ANIMAL!”

And I love helping people (still now!). At the time, I helped my boyfriend to get a job, helped many friends to get jobs, apartments, boyfriends and girlfriends.

Do you remember? “Hollywood Madam (Heidi Fleiss)”? Sounds like her? NO…I didn’t charge anything to my friends :)

My friends called me, “You are MADAM YOKO”, because I introduced jobs, apartments and girlfriends & boyfriends to my friends.

I loved this nickname, so I used “MADAM YOKO” as my pen name for my work (15 years ago, I wrote some funny stories in some famous Japanese comic magazines.)

Sometimes, I miss this nickname, “MADAM YOKO”…nobody call me “MADAM YOKO” now…(I am still helping friends once in a while though…)

*BABYGANG*

Long long long time ago, when I was 11 years old, my classroom teacher at the Elementary school nicknamed me in front of classmates, “You are a BABYGANG!”, then my classmates called me “BABYGANG” until I moved to the other school.

********

Do you have a nickname?

I love “POWERHOUSE”, “FIREBALL”, “PARTY ANIMAL”, “BABYGANG”, and I miss “MADAM YOKO”…oh, I am single, so “MADAM” doesn’t fit me anyway…huh!

OK…POWERHOUSE is great for now… :)

#279- Happy Spring!

How many do you walk?

I saw this sign on the street in my new neighborhood, it says, “Walk 6,000 steps a day to improve health and 10,000 steps a day to lose weight. How many do you walk?”

Between “TBS TV (Tokyo Broadcasting System Television, Inc.) news program, Road Rage, DMV, LAPD, CHP, Anger Management, Google, Cold, Gas range, A DIET BOOK BY YOKO FUJIMOTO, Senken-Shimbun, Agenda Long Beach Show, LA Fashion Market Summer 2018, Gas heater, TAX Return, Google, Google Play, LA Textile Show Spring/Summer 2019, LA Fashion Market Fall 2018 etc. (work, work and work… and sick and trouble… and work, work and work…and trouble…)” and “Descanso Gardens”… I have been walking a lot… really a lot… I walked 10 times of 17 miles per day (from my new apartment to Descanso Gardens round trip plus walking at Descanso Gardens) in two months.

My weight is between 80lbs and 83lbs, even I eat a lot (eat what I want) I can keep up my current weight (80lbs-83lbs).

#257- SLUT? in L.A.

Do you know about “The Slut”?I mean, “eggslut”?

If you don’t, you will enjoy my column on Senken-Shimbun (major Japanese fashion business newspaper) website.

Here is my translation of my column into English from Japanese.
Enjoy :)

Title of this column: From L.A. “Slut?”

Since a few years ago, I have been noticing the egg shape sign of “eggslut” (http://www.eggslut.com) on the way to L.A. fashion district in downtown Los Angeles.

“Slut” means in Japanese “bimbo”, “whore”, “hooker” and “slut”.
“eggslut (a woman is sleeping around with eggs)”? This shocking name of the restaurant has been bringing curiosity to me.

This restaurant (“eggslut”) has a counter at the “Grand Central Market” which is also famous as a tourist popular spot, and when I drive by this place my curiosity about this place is getting bigger and bigger, because I always see a long line in front of…

#276- Evil noise vs. White noise

Today (Nov 20th in the midnight) someone broke into my apartment (my front door two locks were unlocked / my door was locked before I went to bed)…
[I should’ve get up when upstairs guys were harassing me with loud banging noise around 3:20am-4:30am this morning.]

Two weeks ago, someone came to my back door (kitchen door) with a pair of scissors and chopped my mini rose flower (my mother and my younger brother’s gift) off (on Nov 7th), and someone also came to my back door with a pair of scissors and chopped my plastic door mat’s daisy flower’s petal off (on Nov 9th)…

It’s very scary… I have made police reports about these incidents…

I have been having bad luck with upstairs neighbor for long time…after former upstairs neighbor (http://yokofujimoto.blogspot.com/2017/05/my-last-email-to-upstairs-neighbor.html) moved out, I was praying for a new upstairs neighbor who is a morning & quiet person… but my instinct told me one month ago, “you will get a new upstairs tenant who is a night p…
