#26- Jeans factory in Gardena and Chinese dinner in Beverly Hills

I love my work (I don’t feel like I am working!), because I always meet nice people and feel great!

Today I visited one of the large jeans factory in Gardena where produce a lot of popular premium denim and interviewed with the owner of the factory, agent, staff and one of the new jeans brand’s owner and staff. (I can’t tell their names, because I am going to write an article about them in Senken newspaper which is a top fashion trade newspaper in Japan.)

They are doing well at this economic downtime, actually they will increase their sales this year. Good for them!

After this interview, they (the brand’s agent and his staff) invited me to have a dinner in Beverly Hills (“Xian” Chinese restaurant) with another brand’s owner and a fashion designer. Oh my god! I had a great time with them too.

One woman (her name is “Yoko” also!) told us that”Today is my birthday!”…then, the fashion designer (sister of brand's owner) got a red rose and a big chocolate cake with candles for “Yoko” (bi…

#25- Congrats on two Japanese movies!

“Departures” won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film and “La Maison de Petits Cubes“ won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film at the 81st Annual Academy Awards on Sunday night. It was very nice to see winners from my country, Japan.

I saw “La Maison de Petits Cubes“ on You Tube today, but I have not seen “Departures” yet…

“La Maison de Petits Cubes“, it was a touchy story and I got a home sick today…,but well done.

By the way, when I saw Japanese director’s speeches on the stage, I really thought that we (Japanese) better to have good English…especially good English speech at the world stage. If we have good English, we could express more our talent and voice to the world.

Ok…I am going to read more books from here,U.S. and write more English! And someday, I will speech at the Academy Awards. Really!

Think big like U.S.A.! Right?

#24- I see great things at this economic downtime…

Since last month, I went to many fashion trade shows in L.A. at fashion week and stores in L.A. And I interviewed many fashion designers and store owners for my writing.

I really realized that there are still many people doing well at this time…during this economic downtime, because they have great energy and talent. They stand out at anytime, anywhere.

At this time…we will be so picky for everything (saving money, of course)…I love it!

The other day, I finally canceled on my gym/ 24 hour fitness center(I am a member since 10 years ago),so I will only exercise at my apartment fitness center from now on(I still have to pay to my gym until March)…oh…my point is…the great business always think big & forward which means always thinking about the future products/services and customers.

The payment manager at my gym asked me that “why you want to quit our gym?”(I thought great question for their business!)

I told him that I want to save my money at this economic downtime and I have not …
